All medical skin conditions (e.g. skin cancer, rashes) require a referral letter from a physician (i.e. your family physician). Cosmetic skin concerns (e.g. Botox, fillers) do not require a referral.
Depending on availability, you can usually get an appointment within a few days or weeks. Most of our clinics run on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.
Each Botox treatment lasts 4-6 months. Most people prefer to do their BOTOX treatments twice a year. BOTOX treatments will often last increasing amounts of time.
Botox has been used for over 20 years on millions of people all over the world and is considered a very safe treatment for wrinkles and sweating, especially when performed by specialist physi-cians such as Dermatologists.
These fillers are made up of "Hyaluronic acid" which is a normal component of the skin. The fillers are bio-compatible and safe, and do not require allergy testing.
Botox is a purified protein injected into the skin and used to relax muscles that cause wrinkles ("dynamic wrinkles"), while restylane, perlane, or juvederm are hyaluronic acid injectable fillers used to fill out wrinkles or enhance facial volume or plump up lips.
"Age spots" or "liver spots" are called "lentigo" or "lentigines" by a physician. They are sometimes related to age and genetics, and can also be due to chronic sun exposure. Although they are harmless, they can be unsightly and can be safely lightened or removed using various techniques that your dermatologist can discuss with you.
One of the best ways to treat large, dilated, blood vessels on the face is with an electrosurgery device. This is generally well tolerated, effective with a few treatments, and causes minimal down time afterward. This procedure tends to be much less expensive than laser treatments.
Dr.Gupta is adept in surgical procedures and is very aware that many patients are afraid of needles and do not like pain. His experience allows him to minimize any discomfort to you with a variety of different techniques during your procedure.
We use a variety of surgical techniques to remove growths from your skin in our designated procedure room. We used the latest medical surgical instruments, local anesthesia and sterile techniques.
